Hi Todor! Thanks for your great work on the zd1211 driver! There's something I noticed that's a little odd in the source. I've not done C for a *long* time, so I could be wrong, but in src/zd1211.c, function FlashProgram(), there's a call to:

zd1211_WriteMultiRegister

that looks corrupt! It doesn't have the terminating ")". Maybe gcc is smart enough to know to terminate the function call because of the semicolon. It's strange, because the driver appears to compile!

In the original sources, it's at line 1544.

First many thanks for your developing works!

I have internet access in all of my rooms!

Feedback:
I have an X-Micro USB Wifi adapter:

lsusb:
Bus 001 Device 006: ID 0ace:1211
Kernel: 2.6.9-freeswan

I had some problem with the 4916 sf driver, but it seems your fixed driver 4916_0.2 is working

Question:

What does this messages mean below?
I have a lot of this in my dmesg:
zd1205: copy_from_user error
zd1205: copy_from_user error
zd1205: copy_from_user error

Thanks to all!
I've bought a Sitecom WL-113 for only 29 euros,
and now I'm get connected!
I've compiled the source of the driver under
RedHat 9.0 with the patch modifications and
all works very fine!
Only the command:
/sbin/iwconfig eth1 rate 54M
don't set the desired bit-rate. But when I
scan the presence of WLAN I give also other
bit-rates. But probably, since I'm a newbie
of WLAN, this isn't not a big problem.

Sorry for my english a thanks yet!

Angelo.

Thanks for the zd1211 work - It saved me a lot of time!

insert at zdusb.c:149
strcpy(net->name, "wlan%d");
to have a wlan0 device instead of eth2

Thank You Todor, You saved my day. I was just about to dig into the zd1211 source when i suddenly came across your fixes.
It crashed my modprobe for the first load but now it seems to work.

Thank you for help about transcode command from
SourceForge.net forum.
Gv4l with "encode codec": "mpeg -F s,1" is, moreover, very good and just now I am testing it.
